chain-link Fencing Installation

The benefits of installing chain-link fencing on your North Carolina property.

Chain-link fences are constructed by first installing posts and top-rail, then rolling a roll of chain-link “fabric” across the fence line. The roll of fabric is then attached at two terminal posts and stretched tightly with special tools. Finally, the tightened fabric is attached to the top-rail by using a “tie” every foot or so.

There are two styles of chain-link fence: galvanized and vinyl coated. Galvanized chain-link is the standard grey mill color, whereas vinyl coated chain-link is colored either black, green or brown. You can also choose from accessories and add-ons such as barbed-wire, tension wire, and windscreens.

Galvanized chain-link fencing is the traditional woven-wire fence in the stock grey mill finish. The process of galvanization makes the finished fabric significantly more resistant to corrosion, so this style of fence is incredibly durable and long-lasting. Chain-link fences can be enhanced structurally and aesthetically by requesting the addition of several customizations such as, but not limited to: barbed-wire, windscreens, privacy slates, tension wire, and an added bottom-trail. Vinyl Coated Fence

Vinyl coated chain-link fences are simply the standard galvanized fabric with an added coating of a colored synthetic vinyl material. This vinyl-coated typically comes in black, green, or brown and has posts and rails that match. Since the chain-link mesh wires are coated in vinyl, it makes them even more durable than the standard galvanized, and also looks significantly more modern.
